In working to recreate V&V for the 21st century, Laurence and I had made some attempts to scan the pages from the original and use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to recapture the text from the old hand-typed and mimeographed volume.

It may not have worked too well from the text-capture perspective, but it allows us to present fans with some pages from the original V&V manuscripts.

Yes it does end abruptly in the middle of explaining the fireball spell, but that’s all we had scanned. And what’s the point of a teaser like this if you can’t tease?
